Frequently Asked Questions

wedding video videography portland oregon

I already have a Photographer. Why would I need video?

  • While Photography is an extremely important part of capturing your wedding, video captures your wedding in a way that no Photographer can. For decades you will get to hear your own vows, watch your first dance together in motion, laugh at silly moments you will forget the day after, and so on. Wedding cinematography has come a long way since the 90's. These films are captivating, beautifully shot, and edited between multiple cameras, as well as all audio of the day is captured with professional equipment.

How long does it take to get my wedding film?

  • Contractually the delivery of all final products is 4-8 weeks, but I average around 2-3 weeks.

How do we reserve our date?

  • $500 non-refundable retainer is due on signing of the contract to secure your event date.

  • Remaining balance due 14 days prior to the event date.

How is my film delivered?

  • The Highlight Film edit will be available online via YouTube shareable URL link. You will also be sent a download link to save the video file(s) to your computer to do as you like with it. A customized USB drive of the Highlight film, Documentary video, or Raw Footage can also be added to your package if you choose.

Do you travel? Are there extra fees?

  • I love to travel! I'm based in Portland, Oregon, so anywhere within 50 miles of the Portland-metro area is free of travel charges. For any locations outside of that service area, I create a custom travel quote.

How is music chosen?

  • Each film is unique and music is an important part of that.  I will carefully select music for each edit with tracks I license (purchase) for each film. It's illegal to use unlicensed music. You're more than welcome to let me know what genres of music you like and I will definitely put that into consideration while editing, however, since there are so many factors to consider when choosing music for a video, I ask my clients to trust and allow me to retain creative control over the music selection in the film.
